The One-Page Client Profile That Makes Everything You Write Convert

you had a conversation with someone in your market.

Today you're going to turn that into the most valuable document in your business.

This isn't theory. This is the exact framework I use with every coaching client before we write a single post or create a single offer.

Why Most Client Avatars Are Useless

Go look at your current ideal client description right now.

I'll wait.

Does it look like this?

"Sarah, 35, marketing manager, makes $75K, wants to start a side business, lives in a city, drinks lattes, follows Gary Vee..."

That's not a client profile. That's a Pinterest mood board.

You can't write to Sarah. You can't speak to her pain. You can't sell to her fear. Because you don't know what she thinks about at 2am when she can't sleep.

What Your One-Page Profile Actually Needs

Here's the structure that actually works.

I'm giving you the exact template. Copy it. Fill it out. Use it every time you create anything.

Section 1: The Surface Problem

What they'll tell you in the first 30 seconds.

This is what they say when someone asks "What's going on?"

Example: "I want to grow my coaching business but I'm not getting enough leads."

This is NOT the real problem. But it's how they describe it.

Use these exact words in your headlines and opening hooks.

Section 2: The Real Problem

What's actually holding them back.

This is what they realize after 10 minutes of honest conversation.

Example: "I post content but nobody responds. I DM people and get ignored. I don't know if my messaging is off or if I'm just not meant to do this."

This is where your content lives. This is the pain you agitate.

This is what makes them say "holy shit, this person gets me."

Section 3: Failed Attempts

What they've already tried that didn't work.

List everything they've spent money or time on.

Example:

• Bought a $2K course on Instagram growth (got overwhelmed, never finished)

• Tried posting daily for 2 weeks (ran out of ideas, nobody engaged)

• Hired a VA to do outreach (got 2% reply rate, felt spammy)

• Read every book on marketing (knows theory, can't execute)

This section is pure gold.

Why Failed Attempts Matter

This tells you three critical things:

1. What NOT to promise (or you'll sound like everyone else)

2. What objections they'll have ("I already tried posting more")

3. What proof you need ("This is different because...")

When you know what failed, you know exactly how to position yourself as the solution.

Section 4: False Beliefs

The lies they're telling themselves.

What do they believe is true that's keeping them stuck?

Example:

• "I need a bigger audience before I can charge premium prices"

• "If I was good enough, clients would just come to me"

• "Successful coaches are just naturally charismatic"

• "Outreach is pushy and I don't want to be that person"

Your content destroys these beliefs. One by one. Post by post.

This is how you position yourself as different. You don't just teach tactics. You fix the broken thinking.

Section 5: Secret Desires

What they want but won't say out loud.

Go deeper than "make money" or "get clients."

Example:

• I want to feel like I didn't waste 3 years trying to make this work

• I want my spouse to stop questioning whether this is a real business

• I want to prove to myself I can do hard things

• I want to post something and have people actually respond

• I want to sign a client without discounting or convincing

These desires are emotional. They're vulnerable.

They're the reason someone pays you $3K instead of watching free YouTube videos.

How To Use Secret Desires

Use these in your closes. Use these in your sales calls.

Use these when someone says "I need to think about it."

When you speak to their secret desire, price becomes irrelevant. They're not buying a service anymore. They're buying the feeling of finally winning.

Section 6: Their Exact Language

The words they actually use.

Go back to that conversation you had yesterday.

What phrases did they repeat? What words did they emphasize? What metaphors did they use?

Example:

• "I feel like I'm shouting into the void"

• "I'm stuck in tutorial hell"

• "Everyone else makes it look so easy"

• "I just want one thing to work"

Copy these down word for word.

Why Their Language Is Your Secret Weapon

This is your copy. This is your hook. This is your subject line.

When you use their language, they stop scrolling. Because it sounds like their own thoughts.

You're not a marketer trying to sell them something. You're the voice in their head that finally understands.

How To Actually Use This Profile

Print it. Put it next to your laptop.

Before you write any content, ask: "Does this speak to something on this page?"

If no, delete it.

Before you create any offer, ask: "Does this solve their real problem or just the surface one?"

If surface, rethink it.

The Sales Call Strategy

Before you get on any sales call, review this page.

When they say "I've tried everything," you already know what they tried.

You can say "Let me guess... you bought that course, posted for two weeks, and then gave up because nobody engaged."

They think you're psychic. You're not.

You just did the work everyone else skips.

Your 24-Hour Action Step

Here's exactly what to do right now:

Step 1: Open a Google Doc or grab a piece of paper

Step 2: Write these six section headers:

  1. Surface Problem

  2. Real Problem

  3. Failed Attempts

  4. False Beliefs

  5. Secret Desires

  6. Exact Language

Step 3: Fill in what you know from yesterday's conversation

Step 4: If you didn't have that conversation yet, stop reading and send that message from yesterday's email

Step 5: Save this document as "Client Profile" and put it somewhere you'll see it every day

One honest conversation gives you 6 months of content.

One detailed profile gives you every hook, every angle, every offer you'll ever need.

What This Actually Gets You

When you have this profile dialed in, here's what changes:

You write a post in 10 minutes instead of an hour (because you know exactly what to say)

Your content gets 3x more engagement (because you're speaking their language)

Your DMs fill up with the right people (because you're repelling the wrong ones)

Your sales calls close at 50%+ (because they feel understood before they even get on the call)

This one page is worth more than any funnel, any website, any fancy branding.

Because it's the difference between guessing and knowing.

What Happens Next

Next Thursday I'll show you how to turn this profile into your signature offer.

The one thing you sell that solves their real problem and makes everything else unnecessary.

For now, fill out the page. You'll use it forever.

P.S. Most coaches skip this step because it feels like "just research." Then they wonder why their $2K offer gets ghosted while someone else's $5K offer has a waitlist. The difference isn't the price. It's whether you're solving a real problem or a made up one.
